Everyone is welcome at the Eesti Pank Museum for the Night of Museums
Saturday 16 May will see the seventh Night of Museums across Estonia. The theme for this year’s event is “Music in the Night” and this has inspired museums to show off their exhibitions and collections in exciting musical formats.
The Eesti Pank Museum is no exception and has looked through its own collection to find a lot of musical connections. These connections can be found in a treasure hunt that everyone is invited to join in, with prizes for those who find the right answers!
The Night of Museums will be opened in the Eesti Pank Museum by Ardo Hansson, the Governor of the bank, followed by the Eesti Pank band with songs about Money in Music.
During the evening there will be the chance to find about the security features of the new euro banknotes, and wax figure makers Ene and Andres Mänd will talk about how they made the wax figure of Rudolf Tobias from the 50-kroon note and the fascinating stories they learned about the conductor.
The evening will end with the Eesti Pank band playing again.
